• char, a boiler or IGCC fuel meeting EPA emission st andards without clean-up.
• High value chemicals from the aromatics in the coal which in turn fix 8% or more of the CO₂ emissions in paint and plastic end products
• High value liquid fuels
• Synthesys gas for ultra-clean diesel fuel
• Solvents and lubricants

These value-added products plus the char produce revenue to support the facility, and to yield exceptionally good ROEs.

The Coal21^st ™ process is analogous to oil refining in that the basic chemistry involves hydrocracking (using internally generated hydrogen), and the value of the final products exceeds the cost of the coal feed stock and the refining. View a detailed plant diagram.
