Clean Power and Petrochemicals from COAL

Advanced Coal Technologies, LLC (ACT) has developed a unique, patented coal refining technology which converts coal to char, an EPA compliant fuel, plus a slate of high-value products. The process coverts $20 to $40 coal into products having an average value of $300. The value of the products in linked to the cost of oil; while the cost of  coal is not.

The char as a boiler fuel does not require combustion or postcombustion clean-up. It is also easily gasified. The high-value products include naphtha, BTX, and a #4 fuel oil all of which decrease dependence on foreign oil. Elemental sulfur and ammonia are also produced as is syngas for making “green” Diesel.

The entire technology is based on coal, the most abundant fossil fuel in the U.S. and the world. The process inputs are coal, air and water, and there are no discharges.

ACT is seeking partners to either license the technology and obtain the proprietary data, or to joint venture in the building of a series of Coal21^st ™ plants.
